Travology provide an opportunity for anyone to join Travology “host agency” by contracting as an as an Independent Consultant (IC) to start an internet home based travel business marketing travel. Based on the level of experience of the candidate will determine their level of participation and commission opportunity.

There are three contracted levels that are available as an IC. The first rank is called Independent Travel Marketer (ITM). The second level is called Independent Travel Professional (ITP). The third and highest level  is called Travel Destination Specialist (TDS). The ITP and TDS level is predicated on the approval process to include a mandatory background check and provide proof of experience.

If the candidate has no travel agent experience then they are welcome to contract as an IC at the level of ITM with the ability to only market travel through their personalized Travology end consumer booking website. An ITM is not eligible to be involved in the booking process or interact with vendors. The ITM can take their business to the next level by purchasing Travology generic “Introductory Travel Agent Training” courses that include 4 main course and 28 online modules that offer everything any new travel agent would need to start a career in the travel industry.

Travology controls who can be involved in the booking process to include vendor or supplier interaction, client quoting or invoicing to assure professionalism, following processes, and quality of service. The ITM level offers the IC the ability to “earn while they learn” and learn at their own pace.

The next advanced rank is called “Independent Travel Professional” (ITP) that is predicated on an approval process that requires a background check along with proof of industry experience. Once an IC is approved to participate as an ITP they will have access to second level back office permission, and eligible to interact with vendors and suppliers, be involved in the booking, and quote process. Based on skill level the candidate may receive access to related GDS systems that require additional fees.

The final advanced level is called “Travel Destination Specialist” (TDS) that is predicated on an approval process that also requires a background check along with additional industry experience beyond the ITP level. Once an IC is approved to participate as a TDS they will have access to maximum level back office permission, eligible to interact with vendors and suppliers, be involved in the booking, and quote process. Based on skill level a TDS will have access to related GDS systems (extra fees) plus eligible to request consideration to participate with the Travology lead program.

Based on level of participation determines commission that can be earned from the sale of travel. Commission levels are 50%, 70%, or  80% of the commissions generated from an automated booking through the IC personalized end consumer travel booking website or offline booking.

The ITP can earn 70% of generated commissions from bookings that they process offline for their personal clients. TDS can earn 80%  of the commission generated from travel processed offline for their personal clients. TDS that are approved to participate in the lead program can earn 60% of commissions from business that is issued by Travology marketing efforts and leads generated from an ITM that cannot be involved in the booking process.

Travology has a commission payout program that no other agency offers. How would you like to be paid before your client takes the trip? All travel agencies are paid commission from the supplier or vendor 60 to 90 days after the client has traveled. After the agency is paid then the travel agency typically issues agent commission payment 30-60 days thereafter. This traditional payment schedule, unfortunately, results in a major delay in commission payment. Travology is the only “host” agency that offer a program policy that our ITP and TDS agents can receive commission payment after final payment is received but before the client has traveled.

Travology pays out agent commissions once per month through an electronic payment system.
