What is an Independent Travel Marketer (ITM)?

An ITM is the first level after an individual contracts with Travology as an Independent Consultant (IC) and purchasing the “Travel Agent Business System” (TABS). An ITM is considered “new” to the travel industry and is restricted from participating in the booking process, offer quotes, and interact with vendors or supplier. An ITM is only authorized to market travel and refer all prospective customers to their assigned Travology end consumer travel website. This allows the ITM to “earn while they learn” and generate income from travel commissions generated from automated or offline travel.

If an ITM has an interest to advance to higher level the ITM can purchase our generic “Travel Agent Introductory Training Modules” that will help educate the ITM to prepare for advancement to higher levels and even recognized as entry level travel agent.

How to get started?

To get started as an IC the candidate must first review and agree to Travology terms and conditions, policies and procedures, refund policy, and commission payout. Next, the candidate can purchase the “Travel Agent Business System” (TABS) that includes technology agent end consumer booking engine website, password protected back office, Travology training modules, and support to initiate business as an ITM.

In order to advance to higher levels each candidate must purchase the TABS and submit the desired rank application for review along with additional fee for background check, and additional monthly maintenance fee based on level.

TABS Cost:

$359 (Training modules and technology set-up fee) + $39.95 (1st month service, back office, support and accounting fees)

An ITM simply refers all their relationships to their related end consumer travel booking engine website and any completed automated booking, resulting in any commissionable transaction, will result in ITM earning 50% of related commission the following pay period. An ITM is paid commissions the calendar month after Travology has received the commission from the related vendor.

If an ITM generates non-automated inquiry, such as a group or customized package, then that quote request will be deemed a ”lead” and sent to the Travology lead system. Each lead from any ITM will be assigned to a Travel Destination Specialist (TDS) who will do all the work on behalf of the ITM. If the lead results in a commission then the ITM will earn 30% and the related commission and the TDS will earn 50% of related commission, less any processing, or other fees.
